Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA)

The Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA) was founded in 1942. It is a governmental research institution linked to the Spanish Ministry of Defence, with a broad range of activities in both civil and military fields. INTA's expertise lies in aeronautics, space and defence technologies. Beyond that, with its focus on technology emission, INTA has participated in solving technological problems in a wide variety of industrial activities including renewal energies, astrobiology, automotive, materials, Aeronautic, Defence, Security, Naval and many more. Headquartered in Torrejon de Ardoz, but with facilities all over Spain, INTA benefits from proximity to Madrid's resources and infrastructure.

The ambition of the institute is to advance scientific knowledge and technological innovation in the aerospace sector, ultimately contributing to the growth and competitiveness of the Spanish aerospace industry.

INTA has a strong track record in conducting research projects related to space exploration, aeronautical engineering and defence technologies. INTA has been involved in projects like Chinese Chang’e-6 lunar mission, Mars Rover, surveillance of NASA and ESA space missions and several projects linked to Clean Aviation, to name only a few.
